Membership is open to graduates holding an associate or equivalent, baccalaureate, or higher degree from a qualified educational institution.

Undergraduates enrolled in regionally accredited two or four year institutions may become Student Affiliate Members.

The AAUW Springfield (IL) Branch also welcomes those without degrees as Community Members.  They have full local branch membership privileges, except that they may not vote or hold board positions.

AAUW members enjoy a variety of programs addressing topics related to equity, diversity, and public policy as well as a variety of interest groups and fun social activities.

New members are welcome at any time. Prospective members and guests may attend any two Branch activities before joining.
